We are now hiring for the 2018 growing season.

We will be growing 15 acres of certified organic vegetables and managing ~20 acres of cover crops.  Jobs include planting, harvesting, hoeing, pruning and trellising plants in greenhouses, grounds maintenance, scouting for pests, harvesting, and washing and packing orders for delivery between northwest Vermont and Boston.

We focus on production of winter storage crops for local and regional wholesale markets, with potatoes, winter squash, sweetpotatoes and onions occupying the most acreage.  We grow various greenhouse/tunnel crops as well, including tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, basil, and cucumbers.  We are diverse enough for good rotations and production efficiencies but we aren’t running around all summer just trying to keep our heads above water.  The farm is very mechanized and we try to let the machines do most the heavy lifting, but the ability to lift 45 pounds is still required.

Current open positions start in May, and go through Thanksgiving.

Email Justin (justin@burntrockfarm.com) with any questions and to discuss a possible position here for the upcoming season.
